Bethesda, MD is an unincorporated, census-designated place in southern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, located just northwest of the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C. It takes its name from a local church, the Bethesda Meeting House (1820, rebuilt 1849), which in turn took its name from Jerusalem’s Pool of Bethesda. The National Institutes of Health main campus and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center are in Bethesda, as are a number of corporate and government headquarters.
Bethesda, MD Chamber of Commerce – The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1926. Since then, the organization has grown to more than 550 businesses located throughout the Greater Bethesda area and beyond. The Chamber’s mission is to bridge gaps between the community and local businesses.
Bethesda Chevy – Chase High School – Bethesda-Chevy Chase (B-CC) High School is located in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland and serves the communities of Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and Silver Spring in Montgomery County. Established in 1926, B-CC is a comprehensive public senior high school with a full complement of challenging academics and innovative programs.
Ratner Museum – The Ratner Museum exists as a campus of three buildings. The first is the Resource Center housing a library, conference space and children’s art and literature museum.The second and largest structure is the Museum devoted to exhibition space on two levels with a central atrium.
